Under the theme: "Foundations of Global Water Security and Resilience: Knowledge, Technologies and Policies", this Congress which is part of the "On the Road to Dakar" events, is in line with the orientations of the 9th Forum. Organised jointly with the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea, the City of Daegu, K-water and the Korean Water Resources Association, the objective of the World Water Congress is to share experiences, promote discussion and present new developments in the field of water sciences.

Four highlights marked Senegal's participation in the Congress: (1) the message from the Minister of Water and Sanitation at the Opening Ceremony of the Congress, (2) the organisation of a special session on the 9th World Water Forum, (3) the participation in a high-level panel, and (4) the working session with the Congress Organising Committee to exchange lessons learned, particularly in the context of the pandemic.
